Michael "MJ" Jordan one of the greatest to ever touch the basketball court, changed the game and the style of basketball.He changed the way fans, reporters, and other athletes perceived the sport. Michael Jordan went on to be a world known player.Jordan’s reputation as the greatest basketball player in history was earned by hard work. He was voted the NBA's MVP of the year five times; he led the league in scoring ten times; and he led the Chicago Bulls to six NBA championships. Early in Jordan's basketball career he was cut from his high school basketball team, that same day he vowed that he would put in the work in practice at everything he does, and he did. Later his career he attended University of North Carolina, He later went to the NBA as the 3rd overall pick in the 1984 draft. In Jordan's 2nd year in the NBA he was offered a Nike shoe contract then releasing the 1st pair of Air Jordans, which were later banned from the NBA for violating their uniform policy. In 1997 Jordan later created his own shoe line later adding recent NBA Stars Dwayne Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Ray Allen, Chris Paul, Derek Jeter, CC Sabathia, Andre Johnson, and Denny Hamlin.In 1998 Michael retired from the NBA hanging up his bulls jersey for good.In 2001 Jordan returned to the NBA playing for the Washington Wizards. He averaged 20 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals per game while played for the Washington Wizards. After jordan's third retirement he later went and played for the white sox, and started playing golf.

In the year 1997 NBA Finals Game 5 against the Utah Jazz Michael Jordan battled the flu in a very important basketball game. According to ESPN News He remembers waking up in the middle of the night, sweating profusely, shaking, and feeling as if he was going to die.At first, he thought it was a nightmare. Then he realized it was real, that he was seriously ill. But unlike any other people he realized that his team needed him and he couldn't let them down. He went to the game no matter what condition he is in. Later in the game Jordan hit the game winning shot scoring 38 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assist, 3 steals, and 1 blocks. After the game Michael was so sick he had to be helped to the locker room.
